About Dustin
A lawyer you can trust.
Hi, I’m Dustin McCrary, and I’m a divorce lawyer. My goal is to start you on a path to a future that you never thought possible. I’m here to listen to you, provide clear answers to your questions, and to guide you and your children through divorce with safety and security. No matter where you are in the divorce process, I’ll meet you right where you are.
My clients would tell you that I have the natural ability to put them at ease. I have a calming presence and genuinely care about every person I meet. I’m quick-witted and think fast on my feet. I have an answer for anything and you will undoubtedly find yourself repeating one of my witty remarks.
I love good food, being outdoors on the golf course or underwater scuba diving, and UNC athletics … not necessarily in that order! I’ve been to seven UNC versus Duke basketball games in Chapel Hill, the best being the come-from-behind win in 2005. I am fiercely competitive, especially when it comes time to beat my friends on the golf course and I don’t lose.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in Communications and earned my law degree with honors and M.B.A. from North Carolina Central University. While there, I was a member of the North Carolina Central Law Journal, graduated No. 1 in my M.B.A. class, and served as a teaching assistant for the business law classes at the School of Business.
I am definitely a people-person, and I enjoy serving my community through civic organizations. I currently serve on the Executive Committee of the Iredell County Republican Party. I have served on the executive boards of the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Statesville Development Corporation, and Carolina Roots Music Fest.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Katie. She is the love of my life and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to do life with. We are proud parents to Maye, a spunky fawn-colored Boston Terrier. We live just blocks from the heart of downtown Statesville. We can most often be found walking Maye around downtown and enjoying all that our community has to offer.
